FAQ

Is this betting?
No. No money changes hands, ever. You compete for bragging rights and a permanent place in your league's Hall of Fame — that's the whole prize.
How much effort is a season?
One concentrated session to make your picks before the season starts, then nothing is required. No weekly lineups, no maintenance. Check in when results land.
What's the budget about?
Every player starts with the same £25m to spend across the season. Favourites cost more, outsiders cost less — so backing the obvious pick everywhere isn't possible. It's a notional budget — no real money changes hands. Spending it well is the skill.
What are wildcards?
A small number of in-season pick swaps. Once the season is live your picks are locked — a wildcard is the only way to change one, and only before that event starts.
Can I change picks after the season starts?
Only with a wildcard, and only on events that haven't started. Everything else is on the record — that's the point.
What happens if I miss an event?
It scores zero. No penalty beyond that, no scolding — but your mates will see the blank.
Who enters the results?
The Data Master settles each event from official results. If a result is corrected, points are recalculated and the standings after correction are final.
How do I win?
Most points when the last event settles. One winner per league per year — the Crown — recorded forever in the Hall of Fame.
